One day in 1968, Jane Elliott, a teacher in a small, all-white Iowa town, divided her third-grade class into blue-eyed and brown-eyed groups and gave them a daring lesson in discrimination. It's all about power and privilege and their abuse. That is what stands in the way of justice, peace and human prosperity. When we understand the power-based racist system we live in and the dynamics involved we will be able to change the way things are.
